About Me

About Me

The world is brimming with unique and meaningful stories begging to be told.

Thank goodness, right? I can't imagine doing anything else.

Storytelling runs deep within me. I first mistook it for the love of print journalism, until I realized years later that it didn't matter the media. Newspaper, web, blog, magazine, book, newsletter, even Facebook. Sharing stories that inspire, inform or even just lighten the load of my readers for a few minutes is what I was made to do.

For the past 20 years I've built a career in writing, most recently as a contracted marketing specialist for a commercial real estate company’s national marketing team. Through a spectrum of content, including narratives for project summary sheets, proposal pages, relationship stories, design stories, case studies and employee bios, I told their stories of impactful projects and outstanding employees.

My previous work includes more than 15 years writing feature and profile stories for magazines; authoring three non-fiction children’s books for Capstone Press; working as a web writer, information architect, feature writer and social media coordinator on a college marketing team; and working as a daily newspaper reporter.

Stories are everywhere. I find them while homeschooling my teens,  hiking state parks and traveling with my family. I'm passionate about education, dyslexia awareness, nature and taking care of one another.

And sharing stories.
